Prince William, Kate Middleton Honor UK Troops

Keeping up with their royal duties, Prince William and Kate Middleton paid tribute to UK servicemen and women Saturday on Britain's Armed Forces Day.

The Duke and Duchess were originally scheduled to spend 30 minutes with the guardsmen at William's first event as Colonel-in-Chief of the Irish Guards.

However, Will and Kate presented Afghanistan campaign medals to members of the Irish Guards and honored soldiers and their families for over an hour.

William (with spouse Catherine) is a handsome man in uniform.

Prince William, who is the honorary colonel of the unit, also presented the Elizabeth Cross to families of three fallen servicemen in a private ceremony.

"I am proud to be your colonel," William told the guardsmen. "I am humbled by the thought of the sacrifices that you and your families have made and the losses you suffered, all in the service of our country."

Naturally, Kate Middleton helped her man honor them in style, donning a simple fascinator paired with a chic navy blue coat dress and matching heels.
