The obsession for fitness has reached alarming proportions today in Bollywood. Both actors and actresses today are supposed to have perfect body and tongues star wagging if they put on a little fat on their body.However, even in this age where survival of the fittest is taken to be both literally and figuratively, there are actresses who refuse to be part of this unhealthy race of size zero.

One actress who really looks beautiful in ethnic Indian wear is Vidya Balan.Her dressing sense received a lot of flake and she decided to go for a make-over.Vidya lost nearly 10 kgs and commented that at one point of time she was trying to be like others and this thought of hers backfired. She hired a new designer and realized that to show off her curves, she does not need to wear Western clothes only.
In fact, Indian clothes look very good on her and she has been sticking to salwars and saris in her films as well as in real life.
Another actress who has got a very Indian body is Konkona Sensharma.This talented actress looks beautiful in Indian wear and she is seen mostly in them ,whether in films or at events.
However, she also looks good in Indo-Western and in her recent films like ‘Wake up Sid ‘and ‘’Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge “, she was seen flaunting kurtis along with jeans. The look suited her well and she looked comfortable in them too.
Kajol has never been appreciated for her sense of style. This is probably because her acting prowess is so strong that no one bothers to look beyond that. In her earlier days, she was often a fashion disaster and used to wear clothes without giving too much importance to whether it suits her or not.

Even though she, in her latest film, appeared in a bikini top, we still think that Rani Mukherjii looks much better in Indian clothes. Since she is not very tall and is heavy at the waist, Indian wear successfully hides her bulges and instead highlights her attractive features.
Rani also received a lot of flak for her weight, but her brand new makeover in ‘Dil Bole Hadippa’was much appreciated. She flaunted her toned body unabashedly, but keeping in mind the fate of the film, we think it is better she gives more importance to her acting skills, rather than her figure.
Another relatively young actress who looks good in Indian wear is Prachi Desai.In fact, when she was doing a television serial, Prachi had to wear Indian clothes only keeping in mind the character she was playing. Her character was extremely popular and her sense of style was appreciated too.
In ‘Rock On’, and subsequent films, she was seen wearing Western wear, though not too revealing ones and our suggestion is that she should stick to the Indian and Indo-Western look.
